We've mentioned The Surveillance Camera Players in this space because they call attention to something many engineers who read this column are well aware of, but that the general public is largely unaware of: the dramatic rise in the use of surveillance video cameras in recent years.

TI's claim that it has created the industry's first floating point DSCs is technically true. It is also completely meaningless, because the term "DSC" is so poorly defined.

Digital Projection International (DPI) offers up their new LIGHTNING 30-1080p and LIGHTNING 40-1080p projectors that mark the launch of DP's Pro Series II, which are the next generation of the company's projectors for digital cinemas or home theaters.

Unlike a regular skateboard, the front-and-back wheel assemblies on this little rapscallion comprise curved/arced axles each carrying SEVEN roller-blade-type wheels!
