EMS providers are missing an opportunity to openly address supply chain problems Blog 5/12/2003 Post a comment Late last month, the Electronic Components, Assemblies & Materials Association (ECA) invited several dozen EMS providers to participate in an industry forum aimed at fostering better communication among contract manufacturers. The forum had two goals: to identify inefficiencies within the EMS sector that have compounded supply chain problems for the global electronics market; and to form an industry body that would meet period-ically to draft remedies for these problems.
Replay available now: A handful of emerging network technologies are competing to be the preferred wide-area connection for the Internet of Things. All claim lower costs and power use than cellular but none have wide deployment yet.
