Cela ne figure pas sur tous les écrans de contrôle des Américains, mais l’enseignement technique aux Etats-Unis est en crise. Dans les bonnes années, le nombre d ingénieurs américains diplômés s’élève à 50 000 alors qu’il est le double ou le triple en Chine et en Inde. On ne retrouve que peu de scientifiques dans le paysage politique américain alors que c’est l’inverse en Chine et en Inde.
