Microsemi Corp. says it has introduced its smallest, lowest-cost, and easiest to implement ambient light sensor to its portfolio of automatic brightness control integrated circuits. The new LX1972 doesn't require optical filters and its output current can be used directly or converted to a voltage by placing the device in series with a single resistor at either of its two pins, said the company.
Mil-Qualified thinfilm chip resistors available in standard packages

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. touts that it's new MIL-PRF-55342 thinfilm chip resistors are the industry's first available in standard package sizes with resistance values from 100 ohms to 160 Kohms and a failure rate of 0.01% per 1,000 hours. As a result, designers no longer have to use commercial, non-qualified devices for applications requiring this combination of performance and size, said the company.

The Amphe-Power series consists of three families — P-Lok, GT, and AC connectors.
