As a result of working with R&D alliance partners IBM, Chartered Semiconductors and Samsung, Infineon was able Tuesday (Jan. 31) to demonstrate its first samples of logic ICs made using a 65-nanometer manufacturing process. At the same time Infineon made its first steps towards operating as a “fab-lite” chip company, using 65-nm technology on a foundry basis.
