Temasek Holdings, the investment arm of the Singapore government, is offering up to $1.6 billion for local packaging house STATS ChipPAC — a bid that analysts said may undervalue the once-troubled firm.

Revenues of video capsule supplier Given Imaging Ltd. increased to $27.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2006, compared to $24.4 million in the fourth quarter of 2005. Gross margin in the fourth quarter of 2006 was 73.8 percent, compared to 75.4 percent in the fourth quarter of 2005.

French provider of micro-electromechanical systems Memscap SA released consolidated revenues of 14.6 million euros ($18.4 million) for fiscal year 2006, ended December 31. This compares to consolidated revenues of 10 million euros ($12.3 million) for fiscal year 2005, resulting in a 46 percent annual growth in euros and a 50 percent annual growth in dollars.
