Microsoft avoids Bluetooth while vendors look at changing systems

Industry figures reckon Bluetooth developers should add field-programmable options to their chips to insure against interoperability problems that emerged recently at CeBit in Hanover. At the same time, Microsoft has said that Bluetooth is not mature enough for the company to build support for the protocol into its Windows XP operating system.
