Last month, the trade association IPC released a "RoHS Lead-Free Electronics Assembly Process Capability Certification" for electronics equipment manufacturers. Two EMS companies took part in the beta test with IPC and have received certification. They are Solectron Corp.'s Charlotte, N.C., facility and Raven Industries Inc.'s Electronics Systems Division, in Sioux Falls, S.D.
