French CEA Tera-10 supercomputer is number five in the world

The 2006 edition of the TOP500 list of the world’s fastest supercomputers was released at the International Supercomputing Conference in Dresden (Germany). Although Europe seems to be losing ground with less than 100 entries in the TOP500, French Atomic Energy Commission’s Tera-10 supercomputer, developed by French IT company Bull SA, urged to regain the prestige of Europe as it ranked five.

Stemming from breakthrough technology developed at the California Institute of Technology, cellphone device supplier Axiom Microdevices says it's sampling a patented quad-band CMOS-based PA that will give you access to the advantages of mainstream CMOS instead of GaAs. This device should help make cellphone design smaller and more highly integrated.
