JMAR expands foundry roster, inks deal with Malaysia's 1st Silicon News & Analysis 2/1/2001 Post a comment SAN DIEGO -- Gearing up for its recent entry into the semiconductor business, JMAR Technologies Inc. has expanded its silicon foundry roster by announcing a deal with Malaysia's 1st Silicon (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.
Under the terms of the three-year agreement, JMAR will have its CMOS logic and mixed-signal products made on a foundry basis by 1st Silicon. More specifically, 1st Silicon will make JMAR's initial semiconductor line--a family of first in-first out (FIFO) products.

Late last year, the Canadian telecom company announced plans to sell off its communications systems division to concentrate on semiconductor applications (see Dec. 15 story)
