Designed with the latest generation Xilinx Virtex-5 FPGA, VMETRO has developed a pair of high-speed analog input XMC modules— one is a single channel 3 GSPS ADC and the other is a dual channel 1.5GSPS ADC.

Samsung's lead in DRAMs has fallen to a seven year low according to market research group Gartner Dataquest, and the South Korean giant has responded by expanding production of the memories by nearly 100 percent this year . This, Gartner Research Vice President for semiconductors, Andrew Norwood warns, is threatening the industry with a year long oversupply.

Im zweiten Quartal seines Geschäftsjahres 2007 hat Infineon bei Umsätzen von 1,96 Milliarden Euro einen Nettoverlust von 11 Millionen Euro erzielt. Die Umsatzentwicklung wurde vor allem von schwachen Zahlen des Speicherchipherstellers Qimonda belastet, an dem Infineon einen Anteil von gut 85 Prozent hält.

CeBIT står för ”Centrum der Büro- und Informationstechnik”. Den kom till som en avknoppning från industrimässan i Hannover 1986, då IT-delen hade blivit för stor. I år är det således 20 års jubileum.

Infineon in the red again

In its second quarter of FY 2007, Infineon achieved a net loss of €11 million (about $14.8 million) on sales of €1.96 billion. Sales were dragged down by poor results at memory chip vendor Qimonda in which Infineon holds a stake of about 85 percent.

När kungliga ingenjörsakademins (IVA) studentråd inbjöd till seminarium om innovationer och entreprenörskap presenterades några av universitetens och högskolornas satsningar på att utbilda och stödja studenterna i entreprenörskap. Flera högskolor erbjuder idag studenterna kurser i entreprenörskap och många har skapat så kallade ”inkubatorer” som ofta kan vara indelade i flera steg och där studenterna får stöd och hjälp att utveckla sina affärsidéer till teknikföretag.
