Test equipment maker Gage Applied Technologies announces two new educational promotions for its high-speed and high-resolution digitizers. Slated for electronics instructors and researchers, each of Gage's packages includes a digitizer card as well as the company's PC-hosted oscilloscope software. The packages also include a set of software development kits.

LG.Philips LCD Co. said Tuesday (Nov. 30) its Board of Directors has approved plans to invest KRW5.3 trillion ($5 billion) in its liquid crystal display manufacturing plant in Paju, north of Seoul, according to a Dow Jones report.
