But, the report also reveals that the DAQ arena is intensely competitive, and has made rapid technological advancements. Its complex and varied nature, and the presence of well-entrenched participants, also deters the entry of smaller hopefuls. But, don't lose hope if you're a market entrant. It uses any active public telephone line connection, and that line can even be shared with another device at the monitored location. Priced at about $300, this device can inform you if 110-V AC power is lost, or when it is restored at any given location.
