Israel's Surf secures more funding

Israel’s Surf Communication Solutions, a developer of multimedia processing software and boards for telecoms infrastructure, has secured a fourth round of funding from several companies including Texas Instruments, Giza Venture Capital, and Pitango Venture Capital.

CheckPoint Software Technologies Ltd. has acquired network security software supplier Sourcefire Inc. in a cash and stock-option deal valued at $225 million.
