US-based Lexra has decided to quit the intellectual property (IP) cores business and becoming a fabless chipmaker as part of a deal with MIPS Technologies that settles the lawsuit brought by MIPS against it.

A French company has won €4m in funding to build up a business designing circuits for silicon-on-insulator (SOI) technology. The round includes cash from a fellow French SOI specialist company.
