MUNICH -- During the Semicon Europa trade show here today, SZ Testsysteme AG and LogicVision Inc. announced a partnership in on-chip testing technology for system-on-chip products and mixed-signal IC testers.
Credence warns test revenues will fall below $50 million in quarter

FREMONT, Calif. -- IC tester supplier Credence Systems Corp. here said it now expects revenues to fall below $50 million in the current fiscal quarter, which ends April 30, because of weak orders, cancellations, and push-back of deliveries.
KLA-Tencor's revenues slip 8% quarter-to-quarter

SAN JOSE -- KLA-Tencor Corp. today posted an 8% sequential drop in revenues to $529 million in the company's fiscal third quarter, ended March 31, compared to $573 million in the prior quarter. KLA-Tencor's revenues increased from $413 million in the same quarter last year.

CLEVELAND -- Keithley Instruments Inc. today introduced two new software modules for its Automated Parametric Test (APT) systems to significantly increase tester utilization by eliminating potential operator errors and by providing absolute historical correlation between test program changes, process control anomalies, and product field failures.
Teradyne sees Q1 orders plunge 45% from prior quarter

BOSTON--Teradyne Inc. here today reported a 23% sequential decline in sales to $605.2 million in the first quarter this year compared to $789.2 million in the fourth quarter of 2000. The supplier of testers and interconnect products reported a net income of $5.2 million in Q1 compared to earnings of $117.7 million in the final three months of 2000.

SAN JOSE -- Electroglas Inc. today (April 1) warned investors that its revenues for the first quarter of 2001 will be 10-to-12% lower than its previous estimate of $42-to-44 million.
