Connor-Winfield Corp. has announced that it has received certification to the new ISO 9001:2000 quality standard through an assessment process by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance. Connor-Winfield, along with its Custom Manufacturing Division (CMS), received this new certification in January 2004.

Semtech Corp. has developed a new protection device that is specifically designed to protect high-resolution color LCD screens in cell phones from damage by electromagnetic interference (EMI), radio-frequency interference (RFI) and electrostatic discharge (ESD). The EClamp2340C not only offers ESD/RFI/EMI protection; it replaces 40 discrete components in a typical cell phone design.
