TT electronics' BI Technologies Electronic Components Division has developed a new linear position sensor, based on the company's Model 400 series of precision potentiometer/position sensors, for the rudder pedal assembly adjuster of the F35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) aircraft. Transducers USA says its TRIE-23xx and TRIE-26xx buzzers meet new medical equipment requirements and has received initial approval to supply the components to the medical market. The new specification requires that medical and analysis equipment be provided with alerts that offer different frequency level outputs so that individual instruments can be identified by their pitch. It also requires that the alerts have audio outputs with frequencies lower than 1000 cycles per second.

Murata Electronics' new three-terminal capacitor series offers high frequency performance and noise suppression. The surface-mount NFM18PS capacitors are constructed of a modified electrode structure that reduces equivalent series inductance (ESL), thus improving high frequency filtering performance. The new capacitors provide 50 dB to 70 dB insertion loss in the 100 MHz to 1 GHz range.

Once again Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. has made it clear who is the technology leader in the thin-film passive components market with the introduction of its MP series of precision thin-film resistor divider networks. Vishay said these are the first resistor divider networks to offer a 0.05% resistance ratio tolerance in an ultra-small SC-70 package. Responding to the industry's needs for longer lifetime OLED displays, One Stop Displays (OSD) said its new monochrome displays are rated at 20 k hrs to half-brightness. The company said this lifetime is 100% greater than many other OLED manufacturers' claims to technology lifetime. Testing is performed at 70 nits of display brightness at 25°C.
