Vicor expands power conversion pact with Nagano Japan

Vicor Corp., Andover, Mass., today said that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Vicor Hong Kong Corporation (VHK), has entered into cooperative agreements with Nagano Japan Radio Company, Ltd. under which Nagano-JRC receives a non-exclusive license to manufacture high-density power converter modules using Vicor second-generation power conversion technology.

Hurt by the drop in demand for communications products, Artesyn Technologies Inc., of Boca Raton, Fla., has lowered its revenue and earnings expectations for the first quarter ending March 30.
