Sean, thank you kindly, there is a lot of interest in incorporating displays and other electronics from silver nanowires to haptic technology, into fashion accessories, clothing and wearable devices. There are live examples of handbags with displays (eSkin from Kent Displays could be an option), there are ski jackets that have sensors and display embedded and I am sure you have seen LED or OLED lit clothing at various events but these are still in early stages. Most electronic devices and their components such as displays are designed for functionality, low power, etc., but soon the industry will focus on aesthetics and that will be a boon to the fashion industry.

In addition to flexible displays, I'm waiting for holographic projections. In other words, something that makes today's flat screens appear as quaint as do now the old clunky CRTs, when you see them in movies.

Sri,

Great article, thank you and well done. I wonder how the fashion idustry may adapt digital displays in their clothing lines or accessories like handbags. Imagine a digital LV display bag! Could be really cool and, totaly "wearable".

Sean
