I just received an e-mail from a reader:
I just found your 11/09/2005 article on Ghz microwave eavesdropping.
I have a question: what frequency ranges would this work for?
I was thinking that since cell phones are FM and not AM, a 3G cell phone at ~2.1Ghz is on the low end of the microwave range. Could someone use reflections of an individual's cell phone traffic to listen in? (Not that this would be easier than grabbing the cell phone traffic itself...)
What about Wi-fi? WiMax? Once WiMAX goes up, everyone will be basking in Ghz signals.
