I may be an overly discriminating audiophile with a recording studio, and listens to $5000 speaker systems, but I'm not overly impressed in these earbuds. They just don't sound flat, with a peak in the 150-200 Hz range. They are better than the previous earbuds that Apple had. My favorite headphones are the Beyerdynamic DT770's, though they aren't made for the iPhones. Bose Quiet Comfort 15's aren't bad. I must admit that I haven't tried many earbuds. Any other thoughts or suggestions?

We talk with Patterson and one of his colleagues behind the effort about the opportunities they see, what new kinds of designs they hope to enable and what it means for today’s commercial processor giants such as Intel, ARM and Imagination Technologies.
