Stardate = 6:00 am PST, Location = Hotel in StanaClara, Mission = Finish working, eat breakfast, and race over to the Multicore Expo.
They say that "time flies when you're having fun,", so I must be having a ball, because time is certainly racing by for me. My day started at 5:00 am working on the Programmable Logic Website, sprucing it up with the latest news, product, and "How To" info and generally making it ready to face the world.
I'll be bouncing back in and out through the course of the day, but now it's time to hunt down a bite of breakfast and then head over to the Santa Clara Convention Center to pick up my badge for the Multicore Expo 2006, which will be held today, tomorrow, and Thursday.
Of particular interest to me is what they decide to call me on my badge. My first name is "Clive", but this isn't particularly common in America, so very often someone changes it into what they think is "should" be. I can't tell you how many conferences I've attended wearing a badge that proudly proclaims me to be "Olive"! (This certainly raises a few eyebrows, let me tell you!)
So keep your fingers crossed for me. Meanwhile, whenever I get a chance, I'll be reporting back here as to anything interesting I see or hear. Watch this space!
