OK, OK, I know that I'm a sucker for the latest-and-greatest wiz-bang technological toy, but who deserves this stuff more than I? For example, ever since I first discovered the concept of night-vision goggles eons ago I really wanted a pair, but the only ones available tended to be military grade and they cost so much money that it made your eyes water.
Well, no longer. I just received the latest brochure from ThinkGeek, and you can only imagine my surprise to discover night vision goggles for the price of a toy. That's right; we're talking full-up Infrared Night Vision Goggles for only $89.99!
I can't help myself – I just have to have a pair – my wife and son will be so jealous – especially when they keep on blundering into things and banging their shins on the furniture, because once these little scamps arrive we won't be having any lights on in our house in the evening, let me tell you!
But wait, there's more! For example, I just saw something called the MicroFly, which is a tiny RC "UFO" about the size of a silver dollar. It takes about 10 minutes to charge and then has a flying time of 5 to 7 minutes. While flying, it flashes a blue light on top.
When you watch the video, they show a bunch of these being controlled together. Can you imagine someone's surprise if they were to walk into a dark room and suddenly a swarm of these little scamps started to buzz around? Hmmm, I bet the motor warms up ... I could watch them with my infrared night vision goggles (I love it when a plan comes together :-)
