I just heard from my old chum, embedded expert Mike Barr, that the Barr Group’s Embedded Software Boot Camp course is coming up on May 7-11 at Hanover, Maryland (near the BWI Airport).

The official blurb says “Barr Group's popular one-week embedded software skills strengthening program is coming to Washington-Baltimore. Embedded Software Boot Camp is an intense (yet fun!) program designed to quickly and dramatically improve the quality of embedded software created by the individuals and teams that attend.”
This Boot Camp involves 4˝ days of intensive hands-on training. Now, if you are paying for yourself, this isn’t cheap at $3,499 for standard registration ($2,999 for early-bird registration by April 7 or $3,999 for sluggish-bird registration after April 23). Having said this, in addition to being an expert in embedded systems, Mike is also a fabulous presenter, and anything that can dramatically improve your skills in this increasingly competitive market has to be worth considering.
I only wish I had the time to attend myself (and someone to pay for me to go, of course [grin]).
