Could you re-use an old stick deodorant container?

You could also use this as the basis for homemade Christmas presents :-)

Or what? My toothbrush? (grin) You've got it -- I scrape a little up on my fingertips and rub it in (I'd be happy to share pictures ... for a price :-) It rubs in well and disappears and it doesn't seem to leave any residue on my clothes. Also it washes right off my fingers with no problems whatsoever.

Hi Rene -- I don't think there is a premium -- I wasn't really thinking about this (and I don't what I did with the receipt from the store), but I would imagine that the homemade version is much cheaper. A stick of commercial underarm deodorant is quite expensive. I used 1/2 cup each of the various ingredients -- I think one batch will last me at least a month, maybe more -- and I have enough ingredients left over for at least one or two more batches (probably enough coconut oil for at least three more batches). Anyway, who can put a price on smelling like a coconut?

Max, thanks for the tip, like it. I will have to try too. Just wondering, on the economics of this experiment. What would you say is the premium paid for going the home made route?
