While the price of the shoes may seem a little pricey especially since there is a recurring service fee, I think many families will take comfort in the fact that they now can have a greater peace of mind because they can easily track down their loved ones should they lose their way or wander off.

There is great comfort in seeing that great products are being designed to help these people and their loved ones adapt to the medical condition. I agree that this could be brought higher by a few notches with a smartphone app. Abby - http://www.comfortablefoot.com

A helpfull gadget for many. Does this have a energy generator which generates electricity for this to power?

This reminds me of the radio collars that were put on the legs of Indian students who were found to be illegally working in USA under the pretext of studying in a fake university. Those bulky radio collars can now be replaced by such lightweight GPS devices

Wow, this is relaly brilliant! This is a boon for those who has someone going through this problem. Its amazing to see how technology can bring back hope and love. There are many cases where elders have gone out of home and never returned and they could not be traced also. I guess local police, administration and social groups can also encourage people to use this who need it medically.Gr8!
