people who conceive of products also must invision them lasting decades into the future. This makes most engineers long term thinkers. it is so ingraned that we incorperate it in out lives without thinking. it seems natural oand normal and we wonder why others dont think the same. They simply don't have to and when they need to they must think and struggle with changing their time frame mentality.
