Being British, you will work a full day on July 4. They rest of os will have an hour or two off and call it a holiday.

@Wnderer: And we are in that mystical period between the summer solstice and the aphelion (July 3rd).

I was thinking the aphelion was July 4th, but that's in England -- they are 6 hours ahead of us, so although it happens on July 4 there, it's still July 3 here in the USA.

What's the official dress code for this period between the summer solstice and the aphelion? I hope it involves Hawaiian shirts, otherwise I'm SOL (sadly out of luck :-)
