Following my earlier column on Enhancing Electronic Enterprises With Edison Emanations, I discovered that my chum Alan Winstanley in the UK has a hidden side to him.
Alan informed me that he's been taking lots of photographs depicting a computer motherboard as a city populated with tiny figurines. Unfortunately, these images cannot be used commercially due to various copyright and licensing issues associated with the figurines, but Alan says that he really enjoys coming up with these situational scenarios, creating the corresponding dioramas, and then photographing them.
The following are just a few of Alan's creations that he said I could share here on EETimes:
I donít know about you, but seeing these really makes me want to play with this sort of thing myself. I'm going to keep my eyes open for interesting figurines when I'm on my travels. Unlike Alan with his contemporary characters, however, I will probably be tempted go for something a little different. Do you have any suggestions?
