@antedeluvian....stop it, you're making me homesick :-)

BTW, have you ever seen a Monkey-gland steak outside of Southern Africa?

David

Well If I am back in Zimbabwe or South Africa, I mean a traffic light.

After my trip back home today, I was reminded of another Southern African phrase: a Monkey's Wedding. This expression describes the condition of simultaneous sunshine and rain. My Argentinean friend told me that the equivalent expression in Spanish is a "Monk's Wedding". If true, that is a remarkable coincidence.

In addition to the primate festivitiy there were dual rainbows. I have never seen that.

@mhrackin: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder," NOT the beheld! Also nor the behind.

My wife says my behind is one of my best features...

Hang on! I always took that as a complement, but now I come to think about it... LOL

@max: re "admiring stares": I believe the saying is "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder," NOT the beheld! Also nor the behind.

@David: ...no, those are the funnier looks....

In that case I shall be sure to don my "laughing trowsers" when we meet next year at ESC Silicon Valley

@r3son8trbluz: "In addition to being great to play with oneself" [...] sometimes it isn't.

Don't leave us hanging -- please provide examples :-)
