@Gofor: Klin?  Max is there anything you don't have or desire?

I have been very lucky in my life (quite apart from being incredibly handsome and a leader of fashion, of course). One thing is that I really don't spend a lot of money on myself gererally speaking -- just an occasional Hawaiian shirt -- so I don't feel bad if I purchase something I want, like a kiln, that will give me countless hours of pleasure learning new stuff and creating things.

@antedeluvian: ...add paint and each could be unique on your Thud board.

I mentioned your idea (fabricating a number of different heads, torsos, legs, etc) and combining them in different ways, and he really likes it. He also says tha twe coudl equip them with a number of different weapons.

Re your "add paint" comment .... "paint"? In fact, we will be using glaze and firing these ceramic pieces in my kiln.

@David: ...put me out of my misery...

I suppose it's the only humane thing to do ... close your eyes ... this won't hurt (me) a bit LOL

The best description of the rules I've found thus far is here (just scroll down to under the picture)

Max...you said you didn't want to go into details of the rules...fair enough... but put me out of my misery....how does a dwarf (or a band of dwarves) take out a troll, or vice versa.  Does the Thud stone move or just get captured?

@Antedeluvian: A while back I went to see an exhibition of the terracotta warriors. The cast for a warrior was made up of several pieces....

I've also been fortunate enough to see an exhibition of the Terracotta Warriors -- mind-boggling!

This is a really interesting idea -- Bob isn't in the office today, but I'll pass this idea on when I next see him.
