Bert said: Oh sorry, that was Wisconsin. "The Prince and Me."

Since I grew up in Wisconsin, I thought I'd check this.  According to the locations page at IMDB, The Prince and Me was filmed in Canada, Denmark, and Prague.  But not actually in Wisco.  Sigh.

For an authentic University of Wisconsin -- Madison experience, you can't beat Rodney Dangerfield's Back to School (1986), with Sally Kellerman, Burt Young, Sam Kinison, and a cameo by Kurt Vonnegut Jr.  Of course the outdoor diving pool was not filmed in Mad City.  Not much point in building a swimming pool you can't use for half the year.

@Bert 22306 "Wasn't the U of Minnesota the one featured in that movie some time ago, where a Danish prince went there because it was the university featured in some "coeds gone wild" video?

Of sorry, that was Wisconsin. "The Prince and Me."

LOL on that Bert. Most famous movie set in Minnesosta (though not hte "U") is Fargo.

@rishabhnm "Unfortunately I didn't visit the University of Minnesota, but I'm sure it's a great place!"

Yes it is. And I assure you that the students there are not spending all their time in the library! There's plenty to do, ice skating, ice hockey, ice castle building, etc. :-)

Did you visit the University of Minnesota? That's where I got my undergrad engineering degree and I loved the campus vibe. The only drawback is the winter!!!!
