The first day at ESC is an intense educational day, starting with the first hands-on look at the latest version of Windows Embedded Standard.
The calm before the storm. The rooms are all set up and ready to go, for our annual Embedded Systems Conference in Boston. Couple of issues had to ironed out last night, particularly in the room that's holding the Build Your Own Embedded System (BYOES) classes. But now we are ready to go. And with the Giants beating the Cowboys on a last-second field goal, I slept quite peacefully.
I'm really looking forward to the full day of classes today (Monday), with a particular interest in the BYOES classes. It's the first time developers can really get their hands on the latest version of Microsoft Embedded Windows Standard software, otherwise known as Quebec. I'm hoping to sneak into that class for a couple of hours and see what it's all about. Check back later today and you can see how successful I was.
