Sometimes it just doesn't pay to turn your cell phone on in the morning. Today was one of those days.
First call was from a disgruntled reader of WirelessNetDesignline who wanted to know why I don't give more coverage to power line communications. "Well," I retorted, "unless you mean power line communications in the sense of sending information over the electromagnetic fields that emanate from high-voltage power lines, then it probably ain't wireless."
Next call was about the Web Seminar I'm moderating for EE Times on March 9 (today for most of you reading this). Turns out I forgot to supply some questions to seed the conversation. I had hoped to solicit some questions from our loyal WirelessNetDesignline readers but it's too late now.
If you want to drop in on the Web Seminar here's the details.
It's scheduled for Thursday, March 9, 2006 1 pm PT/3 pm CT/4 pm ET and will feature Philips and Freescale arguing the benefits of the contending Wireless USB technologies. Cadence will also be on hand to provide insight into UWB SoC designs. More information is available at www.eetimes.com/netseminar.html.
