I recently purchased a Bluetooth headphone for my MP3 player and the results have been something less than perfect.
The sound isn't as good as I've grown accustomed to with wired earbuds and the batteries seems to drain significantly faster.
It should be no surprise. A bandwidth of 700 Kbytes/s just isn't enough to carry high quality sound. The sound is a bit like a tin whistle playing a symphony.
Luckily, Bluetooth has a speed enhanced version coming in the not-too-distant future and after that it will probably merge into ultrawideband (Certified Wireless USB).
In the meantime, there are other solutions with better sournd quality. One of them is described in a recent How To article published on WirelessNetDesignline.
