Grand prize is $500 worth of Z-Wave equipment. Second prize is $250 worth of equipment, and third prize is $100.
If you're into wireless control and have a creative turn of mind, a contest that crossed my desk earlier this week may be of interest.
Zensys, the developer of Z-Wave wireless networking products, wants to find the most creative uses of Z-Wave in the home.
The grand prize is $500 worth of Z-Wave equipment. Second prize is $250 worth of equipment, and third prize is $100.
Zensys is looking for ideasnot designs necessarilyand has started with a few suggestions of its own including: a security monitoring system; a lighting scheme that slashes energy bills; and, an access control routine that greets you when you come home from work?
Since ideas can be translated into money, I'd make sure you retain some intellectual property rights, if possible.
The contest begins June 10 and will continue through July 10, 2007. Send your entries to Randall Stickrod at Zwaveworld.com (firstname.lastname@example.org) and a bit of background information on yourself. Winners will be announced by email and at Z-Waveworld.com and affiliated sites.
