Welcome to our new look for Video/Imaging DesignLine! If you're a regular reader, be assured that all of the content from our old look is still here, you just may have to poke around a bit to see all the familiar areas. The "Design Center" is where you'll find our featured "How To" articles. Astute readers may notice we've organized these in five slightly revised categories, which we think more clearly reflects the interests of today's designers:
1- Imaging and Camera Technology
2- Display Technologies
3- Video Processing
4- Digital TV/Home Entertainment
5- Mobile/Portable Video
The "Product Center" Tab is where you'll find the latest new products relevant to video and imaging technology -- including Image Sensors, Video Processors, Video Switching ICs, Display Panels, Tuners and many other components -- plus our "Under the Hood" teardown reports on what's inside camcorders, cameras, iPhone and more.
And if you can read this you've clearly found your way to our Blog. After you click back to the home page, scroll down from Blogs (below the ad) to find our News section, located directly below.
In News, we're continuing to bring you all the latest developments in Video, Display, Set Top Box, Portable Media, Camera, Camcorder, Imaging, IPTV, DVR, Video Processors, DVD, DTV and related technologies. Frankly, it's a bit embarrassing that "News" appears below "Blogs" in this new treatment -- I'll try to live up to this section's new prominence, and suggest it's worth seeking out the new "News" section as well, which is tucked away in the lower right of the home page.
We know many people come here looking for specific information, and so our Search tool has been expanded and made easier to find at the top.
New to the site are free Online Courses, available in the "Learning Center," as well as Technical Papers and Webinars. We're also featuring TearDown TV -- don't just read about what's inside, but see it. And in our new version we've moved our "most popular" lists of news, products, and design articles to our home page.
Well, that completes the tour. It has all been revamped to give you quicker access to all the Video/Imaging DesignLine site features, while further integrating with the TechOnline Community, which we're proudly a part of. Please drop a line with your comments and suggestions!
