"If you build it, they will come."
The device software optimization (DSO) concept has been built. Now, it seems, they're coming.
Wind River, of course, was the first proponent of the concept. Now comes Green Hills, a sometimes competitor, sometimes partner of Wind River's. The company recently posted a DSO Q&A that should be of interest to all visitors to this site.
What's more, I've been told by a good source (but have been unable to verify) that embedded-software vendor Enea recently used the term "DSO" in a presentation to financial analysts. If so, that would make three...and, as all good journalists know, three makes a trend.
Stay tuned...this field of dreams appears to be awakening.
