What do Microsoft and the Network Systems DesignLine Newsletter have in common? They will both feature VoIP. Just as I was preparing a long list of VoIP articles that ran on Network Systems DesignLine this year to include in this week's newsletter, news hit that Microsoft will enter the VoIP market.
Although the company previously introduced a variety of software with VoIP capabilities, it will now be resident across the OS, desktop applications and server software announced Steve Ballmer, CEO, at a Microsoft conference in Tokyo. Ballmer indicated it would be unified with email, video and IM.
Stay tuned for more Microsoft/VoIP news. In the meantime, don't miss the Network Systems DesignLine newsletter. Each week for the rest of 2006, I will be publishing a list of articles under a certain topic. This week it's VoIP, next week Ethernet. To sign up, just go to Register and select Network Systems DesignLine from the list. Remember, if you don't do it by Wednesday, you'll miss the first recap. Hurry up already.
