I had the pleasure to be the moderator for a great Webinar this morning that was all about implementation of equalization strategies for PCIe 3.0 – something necessary to achieve the potential of 8Gbps even though the latest standard did not improve the specification for the channel. Unlike PCIe 2.0 which only included Tx equalization, PCIe 3.0 requires three kinds including a more complex Tx equalization, Rx equalization and equalization training. There were a lot of people on the live broadcast his morning, but lucky for you, it was recorded and is available on-demand, so if this is of interest to you, I suggest you take a look. You can register here and get a full pdf download of the slides as well – which are packed with information.
