How about Galluska for something made from chicken. Gallus Domestica is the species name for chicken.

Gallus Domestica brought to mind Gallic then Gaul and then Asterix. I propose the chicken one be called "Chanticleerix" in honour of the village rooster

"Richard III" for the one made from a horse. (A horse, a horse, my kingdom for a horse!)

Of course, companies like Grey Goose may have a problem with their image if these became popular.

"What do you think we should call a drink made from chicken or beef, or pork or even bear or buffalo?" Meadt! Skoal! I have drunk Pocari Sweat in Japan, and I still have no idea what a Pocari is.

Now, if we also extended this to think about cannibalism, we could just use the phrase - to down a Donner.

This is not something I ever thought I'd learn on an electronics website: "Gin from juniper berries", but I did not know that. (No. I'm not saying this article doesn't belong, I think it fits here just fine) I don't like Gin and have always thought if tasted like turpentine so I guess this explains it. Side question - do people even use turpentine anymore? How about Burgundy for alcohol made from hamburger? That name's already taken, so maybe "Hamburgundy" would work.

Now that would have the Germans and the French fighting over ownership of the name :)

This reminds me of the classic Saturday Night Live skit, "Bass-O-Matic" with Dan Aykroyd! :)
