These cookies will do me so much good that they practically count as health food!
My inventor friend Brian LaGrave lives about 40 miles away from my office. If he's passing by on business, he tries to pop in to say "Hi". Sometimes Brian's teenage sons Sam and Daniel accompany him, and there's usually something new and unusual in my office for us to peruse and ponder.
Knowing my fondness for bacon (see Max is on the bacon train
and its not slowing down and Meet a bacon chef at Design West 2013), Brian emailed me asking if I'd ever tasted Chocolate Chip Bacon Cookies.
I had to admit that I'd never even considered such a possibility (I'm just a small town boy, not used to the ways of the big city). It seems Sam had made a batch to greet Brian, who had just returned from a long road trip.
Brian sent me a link to a recipe for Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bacon Cookies on FoodNetwork.com accompanied by the following message: "Max, Sam just made these! They were great. He had them ready when I got back Home. He knows that he needs to make you some also!"
You have to admit that these do look temptingly tasty. Do you remembering the old saying "A little bit of what you fancy does you good"
? Well, I really, really
fancy these, so assuming this saying to be true (and why would the ancients lie to us?), this means these cookies will do me so much good that they practically count as health food!
