Hey Max, the pictures aren't showing up for me. Sounds like a cool show though...I love that sort of stuff!

Sorry for the TYPO: I meant "Stephen Hawking" -- and yes, I already know that you attended to one of his conferences... don't try to make me jealous!! ;-)

Thats's really a wonderful review!! I've enjoyed it very much!! The reverse-causality issue that you introduce in the last paragraphs -- the fact that an observation performed in the present implies a change in the past history of the system being observed -- was studied by Feynmann and is one of the foundations of Quantum Electro-Dynamics. Feynmann went even further, and explained how the antiparticles can be considered the correspondent particles but travelling backwards in time: i.e. when a positron appears in a particle collision, this is just a conventional electron... but travelling to the past!! If you are interested in a recent lay-man languaje book covering the topic of how finely adjusted are the Universe's fundamental magnitudes, I recomend you "The Grand Design". This is the last Stephen Hawkins' book, and it's very well written by Leonard Mlodinow -- he is a physicist and a former Star-Trek screenwriter!!

Hi Garcia -- I will take a look at the Boltzmann brain hypothesis -- did you see my book review on The Symbiotic Universe? http://www.eetimes.com/electronics-blogs/maxs-cool-beans-blog/4207833/Book-Review--The-Symbiotic-Universe-by-George-Greenstein

Sorry David -- it was one of many science programs that passed in front of my orbs -- I didn't think to make a note of its title -- my bad.

Max, I share with you a deep delightment when observing the Universe... One of the most amazing things in the Universe's fabric structure is how similar it is when compared to a organic neural network. There are a lot of photographs around the web comparing the structure of a brain cell vs a galaxy cluster. In fact, there is even a hypothesis known as Boltzmann brain that relates chaos, universe structure and self-aware conciousness.
