We've redesigned the Communications Designline to be a news-centric, blog-heavy hotspot for what's happening in today's mobile/cloud era.
Welcome to the Wireless and Networking Designline on the newly redesigned EE Times website.
This is intended to be a news-centric, blog-heavy hotspot for whatís happening in communications today. There will be no problem filling it. Most articles in EE Times these days are influenced by the new realities in the fast-moving mobile or cloud mega-sectors.
This needs to be a go-to spot for topics such as datacenters and central telco offices -- and the servers, switches, and storage arrays inside them as well as the optical systems between them. It also needs to be a ground zero for everything from Bluetooth to Zigbee that connects mobile devices, including, of course, the still-burgeoning cellular world and emerging spaces such as wearable consumer and medical gadgets.
I encourage you to look around, comment freely, and make sure we know what you think is working, not working, and missing.
If something is missing, the first question we have is: Who can deliver it? Mine is by no means the only voice here. I have invited several bloggers to join us and our existing crew. I expect the first of them to start showing up soon. If you have expertise and a point of view to share, contact me about the possibility of becoming a blogger for this EE Times Designline.
Those of you familiar with our former Designlines will notice some changes. Designlines are no longer heads-down areas focused on detailed technical information, typically in the form of industry whitepapers. Instead they are fast-paced smatterings of news and views on hot topics.
This Wireless and Networking Designline is one of several new ones we are launching with the overall EE Times redesign. Others include focus areas on the Internet of Things, Open-Source, Prototyping, and SoCs. My colleague Junko Yoshida will be an equal partner in driving this site forward.
So, itís a new day, one thatís all about engagement. I invite you to join the discussion with intelligence, passion, and a sense of humor. I look forward to your comments here and at email@example.com
