I have to admit I'm a bit of a sucker for an elegant pun. I think The_Manfred nailed it when he submitted his geeky pun-filled one-liner for the August caption contest.
Bob's attempt at floating-point computation was a megaflop.
As with the previous contests, The_Manfred will be receiving a full-color signed original of this cartoon with his caption on it, from the wonderfully talented Daniel Guidera. This really is quickly becoming my favorite part of the month. As part of my job, I get to sit and read through your hilarious comments. The only bad part is that I can select only one to be the winner.
Here are a few others that really gave me a chuckle.
- David Ashton: "That proves it! Managers make enough hot air to get a balloon off the ground!"
- No_Nickname #2:"As the outgoing CEO floats gently away while counting his money, the engineers are secretly wishing his golden parachute was a lead balloon."
- BurntSushi:"Well, we all knew that after the re-org Bob would be a 'flight risk,' but..."
- Arion Carroll: "Tele-chuting"
Heck, why not just go back and read them all?
We've got a special surprise reward coming for September's Caption contest, so be sure to watch out for that!
