If there's any doubt about the fever surrounding the Raspberry Pi, consider this: More than $680,000 has been pledged for Raspberry Pi-based Kickstarter projects to date, with new projects popping up daily.
The following Kickstarter-funded projects all involve an adaptation of the popular and cheap Raspberry Pi, possibly inspiring you to think of your own new application.
Man, the Raspberry Pi really is going nuts. I can't believe how many things people are doing with them. I'm probably going to do a mini arcade with mine even though I know it will rarely ever get used.
It seems that the Raspberry Pi keeps growing and growing in new and broader applications. It almost seems to have a life of its own, just goes to show you the level of interest in the hobby market for a low cost / powerful / small computing platform. I can't wait to see what is done next..
SInce RPi is a non-profit organization for education, I am wondering if RPi may be a victim of its success - in other words is there apoint where Broadcom etc. will not donate more deivces to build more RPi? I do not know the exact number, but I have heard that there are over 2 million shipped to date. That is a lot of devices.
