Yes, but it needs current sensing. Some other chips have additional pin where you set reference input voltage to set variable cycle by cycle limit. As you change this voltage, current limit is changed.

Very nice....I was thinking you could build a very efficient LAB PSU with this - 0.9 to 50V....but you'd have to do current limiting externally....you could maybe do something using the SS (soft start) pin.
