First, I'd like to start with a message to the folks at Programmable Logic Designline. Did you ever get a chance to visit the All Programmable Planet website? If not, you missed a real treat. We launched the community in May 2012, which means it ran for approximately 18 months. Over that time, we blew through all of the metrics that were laid down for us in terms of numbers of blogs posted, number of members who joined the community, number of comments in on-going conversations... you name it, and we exceeded all expectations.
Very quickly, All Programmable Planet grew into a thriving community of incredibly nice and clever people, many of whom have become close, personal friends. Having said this, All Programmable Planet was a small community in the scheme of things. Thus, in order for it to continue to grow and develop, it became time for the All Programmable Planet community to become part of the larger EE Times' Programmable Logic Designline community, where everyone can keep track of the latest news and advances in programmable devices, tools, technologies, trends, and applications.
Next, I have a message for the members of All Programmable Planet who have made the leap over here to Programmable Logic Designline. It's wonderful to see you over here. Just think of Programmable Logic Designline as your new home. Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, and make yourself comfortable. I'm sure that everyone here will join me in giving you a very hearty welcome.
I'm also sure that members of both communities will be surprised to see a few familiar faces. I can imagine you saying "What? You're here? Well, what a pleasant surprise to see you again!"
On that note ("Aaaaaaaaaa"), in the comments below I'd like to invite members of the Programmable Logic Designline community to greet our new friends from All Programmable Planet. At the same time, I'd like our new members from the All Programmable Planet community to introduce yourselves and say "Hi right back at you."
