Log into Google Plus tonight, Friday October 25, 2013, 8pm ET, for a chance to see the final hangout of the Make The World series. The Make The World Google hangout series, hosted by Adafruit, has been going on all month. This final hangout features, among others, Easton LaChappelle from Anthromod, Gael Langevin from InMoov, Matt Stultz from 3DP PVD, MakerBot, and e-NABLE.
This fascinating series focuses on what people are doing to help in the world of prosthetics. This isn't a show about what the biggest research and development firms are doing -- it is an exploration of how ordinary people across the world can contribute and help. They discuss advances that have been made in living rooms and workshops around the globe and how many companies are embracing these people to help further the cause.
Each hangout allows for a live discussion, similar to a Skype call, where you can watch and possibly talk live from the comfort of your own home. Of course, if you miss the event, the Adafruit crew also archives them on YouTube for you to enjoy. Here are the first three, with tonight's being the final one.
Hangout #1, October 4, 2013
Hangout #2, October 11, 2013
Hangout #3, October 18, 2013
If you don't already have a Google Plus account, or have never watched a hangout before, I suggest you go there a little bit early to make sure you've got everything installed. You wouldn't want to miss part of the hangout because you didn't have a plugin installed in your browser!
